This fall, there are many new shows premiering and other long-running ones returning with new seasons.  Here are a few of the new shows:

  1. Red Band Society premiered on Wednesday, September 17th, on Fox. Its plot focuses on a group of teens in the pediatric ward of a Los Angeles hospital. They develop an empathetic bond with each other while dealing with similar diseases.
  2. Scorpion follows a band of nerds who work together to solve some of the world’s most complex problems. It premiered on Monday, September 22nd, on CBS.
  3. The Chair is a reality TV show that takes place in Pittsburgh, and follows two directors working to create the same movie, each in their own unique way. One is a traditional, by-the-book director and the other is an energetic YouTuber. It premiered on Saturday, September 6th, on STARZ.

Here are some returning shows:

  1. Supernatural began its tenth season on Tuesday, October 7th, on the CW. The show follows two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, on their journey to save the world from demons and supernatural creatures who have harmed them in the past.
  2. American Horror Story returned for its fourth season, Freak Show, on Wednesday, October 8th, on FX. The fourth series follows a newly introduced set of characters who find themselves being exploited by a circus.
