“Good Morning, Hank, it’s Tuesday.”

Originally created by YA author John Green (The Fault in Our Stars, Looking for Alaska) and his brother, Hank, as a means to keep in touch when Hank moved out of state, the Vlogbrothers channel has become a global success with a dedicated following of over two million subscribers. The brothers’ channel is a satisfying mixture of quirky humor, current events, and community wide humanitarian efforts all presented by the ever charismatic John and Hank. The “Nerdfighters” are their loyal, active community; they help to raise money for a variety of charities, including water.org and the Foundation to Decrease WorldSuck, and determine silly punishments for when John or Hank break one of their video rules (forgetting to post a video or making a video longer than four minutes). There’s a sense of community and sincerity to the Vlogbrothers’ channel that makes it unique.  These qualities have allowed for the channel to grow in popularity after seven years on YouTube.  John and Hank are also involved with the entertainingly informative Crash Course and SciShow channels, in which they explain big topics in history, literature, and science with a touch of humor in about ten minutes. Fans of John’s books and anyone who has ever considered themselves a “nerd” will love this channel. In true Nerdfighter fashion, DFTBA (Don’t Forget To Be Awesome).
