This year the Grammys were on March 14, 2021. They looked very different this year but all of the artists that won a Grammy were still honored. The award show opened with performances from Haim, Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and many other artists performed throughout the night. Trevor Noah from the Daily Show hosted the awards and kept the small audience entertained to say the least. The night was filled with entertaining performances and many awards were given. The awards winners for all of the categories were:

Record of the Year – Billie Eilish ~ Everything I Wanted

Album of the Year – Taylor Swift ~ Folklore

Song of the Year – Dernst Emile II, H.E.R. & Tiara Thomas ~ I Can’t Breathe

Best New Artist – Megan Thee Stallion

Best Pop Solo Performance – Harry Styles ~ Watermelon Sugar

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance – Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande ~ Rain On Me

Best Pop Vocal Album – Dua Lipa ~ Future Nostalgia

Best R&B Performance – Beyoncè ~ Black Parade

Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song – Megan Thee Stallion featuring Beyoncè ~ Savage

These are just a few of the awards that were given that night. Beyoncè made history at this year’s award show by winning her twenty-eighth Grammy. She is the most awarded and nominated woman, the most awarded singer, and the second-most awarded person in Grammy history. Also, Taylor Swift made history by being the first female artist to win Album of the Year. Overall, this year’s Grammys were different from past years but still were successful and entertaining.
