Mrs. Anna Regoli is Mrs. Flaus’s long-term substitute while she is away on maternity leave.  Mrs. Regoli went to Duquesne University and obtained both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in education with a minor in psychology.  She has two children, a son who is a senior at Central Catholic, and a daughter who is in the seventh grade at Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Academy (in Latrobe). Although Mrs. Regoli drives about an hour on route 28 everyday to get to OC, she says that the drive is worth it.

Before she began teaching, Mrs. Regoli was a drug and eating disorder counselor for teens.  After that, she became a teacher and taught at several different Catholic schools in the Allegheny and Westmoreland counties.  She has taught pretty much every subject, including social studies, religion, English, and spelling, but her favorite thing to teach is reading.

Mrs. Regoli shared some fun facts about herself, one of which is that she speaks Italian fluently, and a little bit of French and Spanish.  Her favorite book is The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (by C.S. Lewis), and her favorite TV channels are the travel and cooking channels.  Mrs. Regoli has not tried Judy’s cookies yet, but says that she plans to, as several people have told her how amazing they are.

Mrs. Regoli says that she loves it here. “It’s just a great place to work. There isn’t anything I don’t like about being here.”  After meeting with her, I can say that Mrs. Regoli is very friendly and personable and that she will fit right in here at OC.
