Once again, the OC Spirit Week talent show was a huge success! The emcees Nikki Snyder and Angie Mico did an awesome job of kicking off the show with a quick wardrobe change from their granny costumes to prom dresses! The first incredible act was Oy Adebajo, performing a great spoken word piece, written by her! Next up was Christina Caulkins and Maria Chaer singing “Piano Man.” Maria gave an excellent performance on the harmonica and Christina did on the piano, as well. Great job guys! Then Laura Sculimbrene took the stage by singing “10,000 Reasons” and was followed by Maggie Hassan’s performance of “Place Where the Lost Things Go.” Nikki and Angie then entertained the crowd by reading original and personal thank you letters to a host of OC figureheads including Mr. Young, Kevin, Mr. Huber, Mrs. Devinney and Mrs. Ceponis, Father Mark, the hallway decorations, and last but not least Dorrie. Everyone was cracking up! Next up Vanessa Moats danced beautifully to “In Too Deep” and Mikayla Keyes sang “Great One,” both dazzled the crowd. Tess Helms then sang “Shallow” from the hit movie A Star is Born. She was followed by the Irish Dance Club, who gave an awesome performance. Maggie Smith and Riley Doyle performed solo hard shoe dances, as well. Flayre Farina sang “I’m in Love with Another Man” by Miley Cyrus, and Cassie Moats gave an impressive rendition of the song “Rise Up” by Andra Day. The awesome talent show came to a close by an awesome performance by Alyssa Fredette of “Jumpsuit” by Twenty One Pilots and “Manhattan” by Catherine Jezerc. Over all the talent show was awesome as always and all of the performances did a great job of making this a spirit week to remember!
