The World Premiere of OC’s Movie Night!

Haley Moreland '22, Staff Writer

Oakland Catholic’s first movie night, a showing of the Parent Trap for one-dollar admission available to OC students, came and went on September 19th. There may not have been a huge turnout, but the people who did attend said many positive things about the experience. The snacks were cheap, the movie was enjoyable, and it was a great excuse to get out of the house and hang out with friends!

Fidelia Frimpong-Anani, a sophomore who went to movie night, said, “I would for sure go again. The night was really fun,” she adds, “I think council needed to work a bit more on planning and advertising, and maybe make the experience more available to outside students – but other than that it was great.”

The turnout might have had something to do with the amount of sports activities happening while the movie was playing, but nonetheless our student council has learned from their first movie night and are eager to improve the experience next time it rolls around. Don’t hesitate to grab a ticket to movie night when the opportunity arises; we’d love to see you there!
